I'm going through a bit of a funk
and not the fun, George Clinton variety of funk. I’m never really good at dealing with these things. Right now I feel like all my friends only like me out of pity. Rationally, I know that’s not true, but my sadistic brain is finding new ways to screw with me.
I want to be happy. I’m having a lot of trouble actually being happy lately.

Cheating Death in SFF →
torbooks:
In some modern fantasy, death seems like a revolving door. Characters sacrifice themselves and die, and come alive again so fast that it feels like no cost. The trouble with this is that you’re…
This is an important thing to keep in mind if you are an aspiring writer (I am). I honestly think that the only effective way you can cheat death in a novel is if the person comes back...

Dear ABC
You have an upcoming show called Once Upon a Time. It will involve a small town where fairy-tale creatures live, pretending to be human. It also involves them being danger from an evil darkness. It’s a truly creative and original idea.
Unfortunately it’s not your idea. It’s Bill Willingham’s. I’m not even that interested in Fables and I noticed the...
