it seems like a lot of the support that I give people (not all of you by any means, but a lot) goes only one way.  Let’s paint this with the following scenario.

“Alice and Bob are both aspiring artists and writers.  Alice is working on an important project, so Bob offers help when Alice needs it, and support when she accomplishes something.”

“Bob is also working on an important project, so Alice offers…nothing.  Nothing at all.”

In short, whenever I have made any headway with my story (passing the 20,000 word mark) or whenever I have asked for help (the time I posted the first section of Parhelion up in a request for constructive criticism) I got nothing from any of my friends.  The only support I got was from my brother Robert.

At any rate, it kind of sucks because I try to help others, and you aren’t really supposed to think of relationships in terms of Quid Pro Quo,  But all the same I feel like it’s unfair.
