Sundog
Something I have been working on for a while. I think it came out okay.
Parhelion: “Sundog” a work in progress
Me, attempting to do a Work-in-Progress report in the style of Jezfez81. It’s an ornithopter. To be specific, it’s the Seagull class pterodyne that plays prominently in my story.
I wish I could convey it completely accurately, the way I see it in my head. The wings, ideally, would be somewhat organic in contrast with it’s old WWII war-plane based body. In movement, the somewhat flexible movements of the wings would only slightly more mechanical than an actual bird’s flight. But it’s not something I can seem to convey perfectly to canvas (or in this case to vectors. Maybe when I shift to the Raster side of things I can add the subtle touches to capturing it more easily?
*There is a technobabble explanation of sorts of featherplates re; the maintaining of balance, but the truth is I just thought they were aesthetically pleasing.

Proof of Concept: Slender Man in the Forest
So this was just an attempt to see if I could draw something and make it look at least believable in a photograph setting. Yes it’s small and grainy, but that’s typical for cryptid photos.
I used this public domain image for a base.
PS: I almost forgot, people familiar with cryptid photos may recognise the pose from the Patterson-Gimlin Film.
“Torso Monster”
this might be one of the most messed up things I have drawn in a while. I drew inspiration from medieval myths regarding Anthropophages and Blemmyes, both of which are described as giant people with faces on their chests. I cranked up the creepiness by using an Angler Fish for Face Inspiration.
